City wide trail clean up at Sanderson Gulch

Join your neighbors and fellow Denverites in a citywide cleanup this Saturday!

In partnership with Denver Parks inaugural City Wide Trail Clean Up, we’re hosting a final creek cleanup for the year. We’ll meet by 8am at the new playground by Arkansas and Mariposa. Thank you for volunteering on October 12th from 8:00am-10am for DPR’s first annual City Wide Trail Clean up on the Sanderson Gulch Trail. Volunteers will meet at the Sanderson Gulch playground near the corner of W Arkansas Ave and S Mariposa St. Please arrive by 7:45am to check in so we can start promptly at 8am!  If you have not signed an online waiver, please print, sign, and bring the attached. Volunteers under 18 need the signature of their parent/guardian.

 Projects: picking up debris along the trail.

 Parking: Along the roadway. “No parking” where signs are posted. 

 We provide supplies, except gloves and staff will be on site. 

 Inclement Weather: in case of inclement weather, you will be notified 48 hours in advance of scheduled project for cancelation

•            Please stay home if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath.  We also recommend that those who are immunocompromised or otherwise at a higher health risk stay home.

•            Maintain physical distancing of at least 6’ from other workers when possible.

•            Masks are no longer required outdoors, but they are recommended for higher risk individuals and when working in very close proximity to others.

•            Practice good hygiene.  Don’t touch your face.  Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds – or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.

•            Avoid sharing tools if possible.  If you must share tools, wear gloves.

•            Clean and sanitize tools.

•            Bring your liability waiver

•            Bring your own gloves

•            Bring your own water jug/plenty of water/cups.

•            Wear sunscreen

•            Dress appropriately for weather

•            Sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes)

•            Hat is recommended

•            ALL CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED
